A-Litter

The Stolzstein Armada was born August 21, 2004

We would like to name all the puppies after Schooners.  This idea come from the fact that my son Dustin was going to be a crew member of the Freedom Schooner Amistad.

I want to take this space to thank Pauline Labrecque, VonLinderhof Leonbergers and Edith Steffan for all their wonderful help (their continuing help) and friendship  without these two people this breeding would not have taken place

THANKS

Thank you Edith for making this for me

We made the trip to Canada on June 18th to breed Lesja with Alou.  We love going to Canada and visiting with Pauline, Rita and her husband. No trip is complete with a visit to Isabelle too!

This photo of Lesja was taken on our way to Canada.  We stopped in Vermont for a "potty" break and took a few photos.  This is Mark and Lesja.

These photos were taken of Alou after a ramp with Lesja.

He is a bit tired and hot but Happy!!

The third picture was taken with Willow who has to get involved in everything.  She loves her picture taken.

Lesja is trying to get comfortable in the kitchen.  I remember these days.

Poor Lesja is not having much luck.

The Living Room might be better.  Ten days to go.

Resting in the Living Room.  We are trying to keep her cool and comfortable now.

After too many hours of labor and never pushing we took Lesja to the vet.  She had a C-Section and was spayed.  There were five pups but one was born dead.  We took home four, 2 males and 2 females.  Sadly one male died a few hours later.

We fed LittleMan first, we are hoping he will catch up to his sisters

Once he tasted it, he loved  it.  He was messy but I guess it is hard to be neat when you can not see what you are eating!!

The Girls

With great sadness,  I announce  that on September 7, 2004 in the early morning hours, LittleMan joined his brothers in heaven.

On Saturday he tried to walk before his sisters. He appeared to be growing strong and fast but on Sunday he developed some fluid in his lungs and after a long night at the vet, he closed his eyes forever.

LittleMan

aka Stolzstein Admiral Leo he was to live in Germany, near the home of his Grandpa Teddy and was so named by his family.

Papertowel Rolls make great toys.

It did not last very long but the PT Roll was a great hit.

Lunchbox looks like she can fly with her ears out!!

The Pups were nine weeks yesterday and we have been taking them outside with the other dogs.  This morning we took them out to the wood pile as we started to bring it in.  Getting some cold nights in New England.

Watching us, wish they could help.  We will hook up Chase soon.

Trying to help but it was just too heavy for them.

Porkchop found something else to do besides play in the woodpile.

I didn't do it!!
