Bonja 1994

Shady Oaks Beautiful Bonja


Bonja came to live with us in June of 1994.  She was the only puppy in her litter with a white mark on her chest.  She wore no colored ribbon to distinguish her from the rest of the litter so she was referred to as "Little Miss No Ribbon".  We chose Bonja from several of her female littermates when we went to Illinois to pick her up.  She was very confident but gentle and seemed easy going.  We were so pleased because we wanted her to be a friend to my eight-year-old son, Dustin.  He was waiting patiently at home for her to arrive.

Bonja just before leaving Illinois. Bonja made the long time from Illinois to Connecticut in the car and did wonderful.
Dustin and Bonja are best friends
They do everything together, even sleep.
 
ARBA Nutmeg Classic
October 22, 1994 Dustin went into the Show Ring for the first time and took First Place for Jr. Showmanship and he and Bonja went on to take Reserve Winners. It was the begining of their show career.
