Carting 2000

I was always interested in Carting/Drafting and spent a lot of time looking for information.  I found a list and a wonderful group of Rottie people to help me.
It all began when my Wonderful brother Nick built my first cart from plans that were given to me by Cliff Dahl. Thank you Cliff.
This harness was purchased from Dog Works. Hopefully in the future will be carting titles. Chase has taken on this new challenge with the same enthusiasm as every task he takes on.

This was just the beginning...
...of a marvelous Carting Career
On September 9th and 10th, 2000, Chase went to Pennsylvania to participate in a two day Carting Seminar given by Paula A. Cingota.  We enjoyed ourselves very much and were able to obtain a better understanding of carting.  Following are pictures from the seminar.  Thank you Glenn Elizabeth Pollock for being such a wonderful hostess.

This picture was taken at the Carting Seminar.  It seemed to express Chase's love for Willow and his easy going personality.  I love this photo
In November of 2000, I purchased a custom cart and harness from Paula.  Chase was well on his way. Now I could cart with Chase and take Willow.  What could be better!!
Sleeping Giant Kennel Club held its Xmas party in December of 2000 and Chase was a hit giving rides to Willow and some of his canine friends
Rat Terrier

Whippet
For Xmas we decorated the cart with battery operated lights and gold garland and bells, we put Willow in a snowsuit and we were off.  Dustin was afraid we would cause an accident because so many cars slowed down to catch a glimpse.  We paraded through the shopping mall and had a wonderful time.
Willow
Nothing stopped Chase.  If Willow went up to him with the carting harness, he would eagerly wag his tail and try to slip his head in the harness.  We had a very harsh winter this year but we found that when it snowed heavy we could cart in the streets with no traffic, so we did.
There is still garland from Xmas on the cart.
Josh needed to go to the bank so off he went with Willow in tow.
You can not get the cart and Chase out of the house without her.
